The German Wirehaired Pointer Club of Wisconsin was established in 1953.


The club was founded by a dedicated group of German Wirehaired Pointer owners and breeders from the WI and IL areas, with interests in advancing the popularity of this outstanding breed of dog. Our members are active in hunting, conformation shows, agility, obedience, rally, and retriever tests.

Ownership of a German Wirehair is not a requirement for membership in the club. The membership of the club always extends a helping hand to new members to make them feel comfortable.
